Population Health

“Population health is taking responsibility for managing the overall health of a defined population and being accountable for the health outcomes of that defined population.” (Paul Brashnyk, MPH, Interim Director of Clinic Operations, UW Neighborhood Clinics).  Population health also is “the health outcome of a group of individuals, including the distribution of such outcomes within the group.” (David Kindig and Greg Stoddart, 2003).  Leggette ETI combines these two separate definitions cohesively for our approach to population health solutions: the understanding of how community supportive entities are accountable for the direct and indirect effects on health outcomes.

Knowing who’s accountable helps us understand what outcomes to gauge and anticipate.  Our population health clients embrace our approach for public safety, health surveillance, and research; all within the confines of quantitative and qualitative analysis to outcomes.
